To enable auto sign in (Logon) so you don’ t have to enter password each time in Windows 8, enter “netplwiz” in start screen. When you start typing character, it will switch to search screen. After typing “netplwiz”, press enter key.
It will switch to desktop screen, and user accounts windows will open.
Select user which you want to automatically sign in, and uncheck “Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.”
Press OK will ask to enter password, so enter password for user you have chosen.
This will enable auto sign in from next Windows bootup. For sign in for returning from sleep mode or hibernation, disable option from Power option (Control panel, Hardware and Sound, Power Options, Require a password on wakeup. Click “Change settings that are currently unavailable” to make option configurable).
You can also call user accounts by pressing “Win + R” key and then entering “netplswiz” or “control userpasswords2”.
To disable auto sign in, re-check “Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.”
